I don't really know how to describe this illustration. Well, it's interesting for sure and has beautiful linework. But it gives me an eerie yet exciting feeling. It's like I'm in one of my bizarre dreams. They can be terrifying, exhilarating and breathtakingly beautiful at the same time... www.behance.net/thiswinter
The work of French Illustrator Delphine Durand is filled with funny animal characters, little monsters and a lot of beautiful colours. It makes me happy every time I look at it. Go visit her blog here and enjoy!
I own an old copy of the Hobbit (dutch version, 1960). I've bought it mostly because of the artwork of Kees Kelfkens, a dutch illustrator and graphic designer. I like the well balanced & simplified drawings and the funny faces of the dwarfs and Bilbo. Sadly there's not much to find about Kelfkens on the web. Did find a nice poster (Geef Een Boek) though.
